Environmental Safety Academy

Participants in this 6-week program will learn about the work of the Environment Health Watch (EHW) and the Lead Safe Resource Center (LSRC) and the importance of addressing lead poisoning in the City of Cleveland.
Financial Literacy Academy
Open to youth ages 16 through 18 who live in City of Cleveland
Young Money Mentors is a financial literacy work experience in which students will learn positive financial habits and share them with fellow students in a peer-to-peer education model. Participants will engage in discussions surrounding how to manage their own finances, save for the future, budget their money wisely, and more.
Open to rising 11th graders through recent graduates who live in the Cuyahoga County
This program is a 6 week, paid, hands-on learning experience in partnership with MAGNET that helps Cuyahoga County students interested in technology, problem-solving and STEM explore career paths related to manufacturing. Students will spend 4 days a week learning about how things get made in Northeast Ohio and what their role might be in the manufacturing industry.
Open to rising 10th graders through recent graduates who live in the City of Cleveland
This program is an 8-week, paid, hands-on learning experience in partnership with the City of Cleveland that helps students interested in writing, design, and entrepreneurship explore career paths related to these disciplines.
ONLY open to young adults who are 18-year-olds and Class of 2025 graduates
The Pharmacy Technician Academy is a 6-week training program at CVS Workforce Center created for 18-year-old graduates of the class of 2025. Y.O.U. has collaborated with CVS to create a pharmacy technician training program equipped with built-in job shadowing.
Open to rising 11th through 12th Graders who live in the City of Richmond Heights
This 6-week work experience is perfect for youth who are Richmond Heights students or residents to learn more about their city’s local government. Participants will have the ability to rotate through various city departments to shadow careers in the mayor’s office, as well as police, fire, and recreation departments.
